Biography

I started by strumming the uke, then moved onto the guitar performing in Beer gardens, church halls and garages. Then I moved to Manchester and got involved in the singer songwriter scene, busking on the streets.
I joined a celtic/roots group, played in bars, clubs and festivals including Gosport, Celtic Connections, York, Whitby Musicport, Oslo, Tullins in France.

I supported Richard Thompson and Martin Stephenson, had a lot of late nights, played in America, all over Europe and New Zealand, ran songwriting, vocal and guitar workshops all over England and the conservatoires in Geneva and Chambery in France.
I have written more than 250 songs in a wide variety of styles and then moved to France four years ago where I play on the folk/roots and jazz scene.

I've played with many wonderful musicians from all backgrounds including, Mark Greer, Clive Mellor(Harmonica for Richard Hawley), Michael McGoldrick, Martin Stephenson, Arty McGlynn, BJ Cole, The Holmes brothers, David Thom, John joe Kelly, and I've done radio and television broadcasts.
I am currently playing in Concert halls with a quartet, a saxaphone player and and still playing the uke!!
